Wales Co-operative Centre marks Agored Status
By Delyth Rees, Digital Inclusion Training and Technical Officer
The Wales Co-operative Centre, who deliver Digital Communities Wales, is pleased to announce that it is now a Recognised Centre in the delivery of Agored Cymru accredited qualifications.
Digital Communities Wales is offering two courses accredited at Level Two. Working closely with Agored Cymru we have developed two units which aim to meet the needs of frontline staff and volunteers working with people in a digital environment. This course is geared towards developing the digital support skills of staff and volunteers from a variety of sectors including housing, libraries, the third sector and health professions.
Delyth Rees, Training and Technical Officer for the project stated: “We’re really excited to offer these sessions, accredited by Agored Cymru. It’s a great chance for the Welsh workforce and volunteers to gain credits in an important skill area. There is the opportunity for recognition, through qualification, for some of the excellent work that is already going on in Wales.”
Our accredited courses: the one day “Digital inclusion Support” and two day “Digital Inclusion Practitioner” are fully funded. We also offer a range of continued professional development sessions and informal, non accredited learning options for staff and volunteers.
