Cardiff Council’s Digital Support Team are committed to tackling digital exclusion and social isolation. We pride ourselves in the support we offer to communities, volunteers and staff city wide to ensure the digital offer is achieved and service users are listened to, and able to access online services confidently and safely.

The Digital Support Team identify training needs, barriers and wellbeing needs, through events and drop-in sessions city wide. The team visit 26 locations in Cardiff, hosting drop-in advice and support with troubleshooting and getting online to access services such as Cardiff Council applications, Library Services and online services from NHS and gov.uk.

Workshops and Social clubs take place in many locations, offering an interactive learning environment for service to users to boost their digital skills, including topics such as Introduction to Microsoft packages, creative tools, social media, online safety, online shopping and banking, and tools to support with being self-employed, budgeting and much more!

The team break down access barriers with sessions dedicated to vulnerable users, older users and users with additional needs, ensuring that their devices work for them, navigating their settings and downloading apps to simplify daily tasks. The Digital Team offer access schemes to digital equipment too, including Tablets, and Data via the National Databank.
