SCVS and Swansea Library

Digital Communities Wales (DCW) has worked extensively with Swansea Council Libraries and Swansea Council for Voluntary Service (SCVS) for several years.

The SCVS ‘Our Neighbourhood’ project serves the people of Swansea by offering digital support to those who need help and guidance using technology.  DCW has trained SCVS volunteers to become Digital Champions.

In addition to a range of digital services offered by Swansea Libraries, a weekly drop-in digital support session was offered to Swansea residents at the Central Library.  Run by Swansea Libraries staff and SCVS volunteers, this proved so successful that similar sessions are now being offered in several libraries across the area.
