Hywel Dda University Health Board’s commitment to Digital Inclusion began by the appointment of the Digital Inclusion Manager to drive forward a Digital Inclusion Programme which supports the digital skills and confidence development of the workforce and it’s wider population, and considers the wider health and wellbeing benefits that digital offers. As a health board we are keen to ensure that our population have the parity of support and access to services required to be able to fully engage with and be confident users of digital. We are passionate about ensuring that digital inclusion is seen as the key enabler to digital transformation to all services.

Our Digital Response strategy clearly identifies and incorporates digital inclusion as a key aspect to our everyday services and we strive to raise the awareness and understanding around digital inclusion, the benefits seen to a digitally empowered and engaged population through engaging our key stakeholders and exploring ways to influence the embedding of digital inclusion within health and care strategies and policies. We are working towards ensuring that digital inclusion is seen as the key consideration required within all service areas and future development of services. There is a clear commitment within our ‘Digital Response’  to ensure that digital inclusion is embedded throughout the everyday planning and processes of the health board’s delivery to ensure that our population are not left behind.
